Politics and Religion

My dad told me a long time ago… when you go to a party, you never talk about politics or religion.

But what about at work? When you spend 40 hours a week with the same group of people, you get to know each other pretty well, and sometimes you do venture into these two controversial areas.

This is not a problem unless it becomes a problem.

Do you know what the boundaries of discussing your beliefs are at your workplace? Has the leadership in your company spent any time discussing this? Are you just waiting for something to become a problem before you address it? That doesn’t sound like a good solution to me.

How about following The Family Business rules? The give direction through The Family Business Code as to how to deal with these two volatile issues.

You may not win an argument, but you might save your family!
